Lake Murray Picnic

Waterford Terrace Residents rode the bus to Lake Murray.

Residents were treated to a wonderful cookout provided by Waterford's chef and his crew.

They had ribs, chicken, potato salad, and much much more.

It was wonderful visiting with new and longtime friends.

Thank you, Waterford Terrace!!!

The weather couldn't have been any better than this.

Some of the residents enjoyed a walk around the lake.

A great time was had by all.

What a wonderful day.

See you at the next Picnic.

A Lovely Bus Drive to Wisteria Candy Cottage and Picnic at Pine Valley

Our trip started out on a journey to the Wisteria Candy Cottage located in the rural town of Boulevard, California.  The Wisteria Candy Cottage has been dipping chocolates since 1921.  Which is a favorite of the residents here at Waterford Terrace.  This store once served at a one-room schoolhouse in East County for 90 years.  The Candy Cottage is famous for their turtles, brittle, fudge, and truffles.
The ladies enjoyed browsing in the little Candy Cottage.
The smells of chocolate got to all of them. They bought yummy freshly made Easter goodies and chocolates.

They were so happy that Waterford Terrace made this trip happen.

Is that a honey bear peaking out behind one of the residents??
Having way too much fun at the store.

Then our journey went on to a beautiful shaded park in Pine Valley.
The picnic provided by the Culinary Department at Waterford Terrace was lovely and delicious.

Having a great time hanging out at the park.  Couldn't have been a better day.

Ready to go back home to Waterford Terrace after a great trip.
